Class Descriptions

Stretch and Restore:
A quiet practice to rejuvenate your body and calm your mind. Release stress and tension with mindful stretching, breath awareness, and restorative yoga poses. Appropriate for all levels of students.
Gentle Yoga/Level 1:
A slower-paced class that uses introductory poses to build strength, encourage circulation, improve flexibility, balance, coordination, confidence, and promotes deep relaxation.  It is ideal for students new to yoga, and anyone desiring a less vigorous class including active seniors and those recovering from a health issue.
Level 1 & 2:
Intended for beginning students in good health and physical condition; students who have completed our Introduction to Yoga series; and continuing students.  Classes focus on building strength and flexibility as well as increasing mental focus and endurance.  Standing poses are emphasized as they build a strong foundation for a continuing yoga practice.
Level 2:
Continuing students familiar with basic Iyengar alignment principles. Standing poses are refined and all categories of poses are explored in more depth, including backbends and inversions.
Level 2 & 3:
Continuing students with at least one year Iyengar yoga experience wanting to deepen their practice. This class only meets once a month so please check the schedule for upcoming meeting dates.
