Stress Reduction

Here at Fig Garden Yoga Studio, we realized that it would be beneficial for students to have tools and references they can use at home. We also wanted the ability to reach a broader audience. So, in 2008, we created and made available the following products. In addition, we are working on other tools which are in various stages of planning and production and will be available in the near future:

The Art of Low Stress Living

This is a book that offers tools for stress relief
as well as strategies for stress prevention.

Therapeutic Deep Relaxation

This is a CD that relieves stress in both the physical body
and the more subtle dimensions. Students have found
this CD to promote restful sleep.

Fig Garden Yoga Studio began offering Stress Reduction classes in 1999 in response to the high level of stress we observed in our student population and in the community at large. We were also concerned about the relationship between stress and the rising incidences of chronic illnesses in our society.

We began adding related classes in 2002 and now offer a well rounded Wellness Program. Classes that rotate through the year and which we are happy to bring offsite to interested organizations include those that:
